Installation of Precast Concrete Coping Stone
Precast concrete coping stones are installed with mortar. Same installation recommendations apply as large format tiles. Some stone masons blend thin set mortar with spec mix, because thin set has better bonding ability.
We recommend minimum 1/2 inch mortar bed.
- Single bullnose or single sided coping used where the back side is against the decking
- Double bullnose or Double sided coping is used where the bond beam is raised and both sides (faces ) are exposed. Such as raised SPA’s or a Wall.
